Our Client is a technology venturing consultancy specialising in metering
technology, they innovate, prove and develop technology-based solutions
to fit growing market needs.
Core capabilities are in physical sciences; engineering-sensors; optics;
vision systems; wireless technologies and specialist electronics.
As a technology developer, you will be responsible for innovation, design
and building prototypes in a variety of markets. These will be exploited
by contracts with leading manufacturers and/or licence arrangements.
The work involves assessing new commercial and technical opportunities
and selling these opportunities to possible partners through direct
contacts and meetings. Also developing proposals for projects, creative
and innovative problem solving and practical engineering to produce
test prototype of solutions.
The ideal candidate must be qualified to degree level (2.1 or above)
- Engineering, (electric/electrical/mechanical) and/or physics with
some chemistry and have a passion for science and its practical application.
Ability to innovate with a real demonstrable interest in the commercial
application of scientific ideas would be advantageous.
In addition, experience in technical consulting/professional skills
especially those connected with client communication and a higher degree
- PhD/MSc etc. would be highly desirable. Must be able to demonstrate
practical laboratory or workshop skills in electronic circuit design
(analogue, digital, mixed), mechanical/PCB CAD skills and have used
DSPs, microcontrollers etc, in real applications.
