Business Consultant

Our client is
seeking to strengthen their multi-disciplinary team of engineers and technologists with a business strategy consultant who can drive new projects by working with our customers' senior management to deliver product innovation. The successful candidate will be equally comfortable consulting on innovation and road mapping processes and leading technical teams to deliver better products to the market.

The Product Engineering Group provides a complete range of business planning, innovation, engineering and manufacturing transfer services to clients ranging from start-ups to multinational corporations.

 

Ideally you will have:

• Scientific or engineering background with a minimum 2.1 degree, plus preferably an MBA, PhD or MSc
• Experience of market investigation and analysis, preparation of business plans and new business development
• Project management experience, ideally in a business and/or consulting role
• First rate communication and facilitation skills, strong analytical skills, coherent and persuasive presentation and writing skills
• Understanding of innovation, product development and manufacturing transfer processes
• Familiarity with FMCG, food and beverage, consumer durable or domestic appliance sectors
• Experience of business development and relationship building would be an advantage.

Previous experience of the following is essential:

• Managing business consultancy and innovation process projects for private and public sector clients
• Providing market analysis and business planning input to product development projects
• Developing new business for our client with existing and new clients
